Frequency proposal is a needless expense It appears that Commissioner Joe Young is going to push 700MHz right down our throats if we don’t look at the cost in these economic times. Families deserve income tax deduction As a homeschooled high school student, I am writing this letter to bring your attention to H.R. 2605 sponsored by Pete Hoekstra. Understanding job sectors is important We hear talk about “created” and “saved” jobs. So, where are the jobs from the government’s financial bailouts of Wall Street banks, Main Street takeovers (GM, Chrysler, AIG, etc.) and the $787 billion stimulus spending? Seniors are a constant source of inspiration I recently started working for the seniors at the Sandpoint Senior Center. There are many new parts to this job which I am still getting used to. One area which takes absolutely no getting used to is the warm, caring and positive environment the seniors create each day when they show up at the center to eat, play cards, shoot pool or just socialize.
