House fire kills 2

PRIEST RIVER - Two people were killed in a Tuesday evening house fire near Priest River, according to the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office.

Law enforcement agencies responded to reports of a house fire on Old Priest River Road on Tuesday evening, BCSO Capt. Tim Hemphill said. Investigators were informed there was a likelihood that two adults may have been inside the residence at the time of the fire.

The Idaho State Fire Marshal along with Bonner County Sheriff’s detectives discovered what they believe to be the remains of the two occupants during their investigation. The investigation into the fire is ongoing, Hemphill said.
