High school girls swim and dive state qualifiers announced

Seventeen athletes from Columbia Public Schools will compete in individual events at the girls MSHSAA Class 1 and 2 swim meets.

Two girls from Battle will compete in the Class 1 state swim meet. Lauren Naeger will compete in the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard butterfly, and Mycah Davis will compete in the 100-yard freestyle and the 100-yard breaststroke.

Hickman will have five athletes competing in individual events at the Class 2 state swim meet. Grace Beahan will compete in the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle, Sarah Vogt will compete in the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard breaststroke, Camille Lease will compete in the 500-yard freestyle and the 100-yard breaststroke and Gen Jones will compete in the 200-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle.

Ava Hoenes qualified for the diving competition.

The Kewpies also qualified for the 200-yard medley relay, the 200-yard freestyle relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay.

Rock Bridge will send 10 athletes to compete in individual events at the Class 2 meet. Ansley Barnes will compete in the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle, Reagan Richards will compete in the 100-yard butterfly and the 100-yard breaststroke, Elise Henderson will compete in the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle, Olivia Henderson will compete in the 100-yard freestyle and the 100-yard backstroke, Piper Forthaus will compete in the 200-yard freestyle and the 100-yard butterfly, Mara Manion will compete in the 100-yard freestyle and the 100-yard backstroke, Piper Osman will compete in the 100-yard butterfly and Ellie Peery will compete in the 100-yard backstroke.

Leslie Barner and Olivia Liddle qualified for the diving competition.

The Bruins also qualified for the 200-yard medley relay, the 200-yard freestyle relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay.

The Class 2 meet will take place Thursday and Friday, and the Class 1 meet will take place Friday and Saturday. Both meets will be held at the St. Peters Rec-Plex in St. Peters.
