Missouri softball scored in just one inning Sunday afternoon against No. 15 Ole Miss.

Those five runs in the fourth inning were all the Tigers (24-18, 7-8 Southeastern Conference) needed, however, as they salvaged the third contest of a three-game series against the Rebels (30-11, 9-5 SEC) 5-2.

Trailing 1-0 entering the fourth, catcher Hatti Moore got the inning started with a leadoff walk. The next four Tigers reached base, with designated player Kara Decker singling in the tying run and first baseman Kolby Romaine doubling in the go-ahead score.

MU tacked on three more runs in the frame: two on a throwing error by the Ole Miss catcher and one on an Emma Raabe sacrifice fly.

Starter Madi Norman only lasted 1? innings, giving up one run on two hits and three walks. Cassie Gasper came out of the bullpen, tossing four innings of one-run ball, striking out three but surrendering seven walks.

Three of those walks came in the sixth inning, one of which forced in a run with the bases loaded. With Gasper starting to lose her command, head coach Larissa Anderson brought out Eli Daniel to end the threat.

Daniel retired five of the next six batters, earning her fifth save and locking up the Missouri victory.
