Logboat Brewing Company will open a second location less than a mile away from its current Fay Street facility in Columbia.

"This new facility will be used to experiment, explore, collaborate and to challenge ourselves to make fun new beverages that we cannot currently produce on Fay Street," the Facebook announcement said. "Think an adult version of Willie Wonka (sic)."

The brewery will also feature a small tasting room for private events, educational courses and special releases. No food will be served at this location.

"We are hoping to get things going this fall/winter, but you know how horrible we are with time frames," the announcement said.
