Lions Club offering flag program

Print Article

The Sandpoint Lions Club is offering businesses and individuals in the cities of Sandpoint, Ponderay, Kootenai, and Sagle an opportunity to show their pride and patriotism by displaying the U.S. flag in front of their businesses and/or homes on eight holidays per year:

1. Armed Forces Day

2. Memorial Day

3. Flag Day

4. Independence Day

5. Labor Day

6. September 11th Remembrance Day

7. Columbus Day

8. Veteran’s Day

Our flag subscriptions will be sold by our members at a cost of $45 each year.

For each flag subscription, our Lion volunteers will install and provide maintenance for a flagpole support and will place a 3’ by 5’ U.S. flag on a 10-foot pole in front of your business and/or home on each of the eight national holidays.

The flag subscription proceeds are used for our Club’s operating expenses, which ultimately gives us more opportunities to support our local communities. Annually we organize and pay for the following events:

• Easter egg hunt

• Independence Day parade and fireworks show

• Halloween trick or treat

• Turkey bingo

• Toys for Tots and Christmas food boxes

Please contact me at The Sandpoint Lions Club (Attn: Flag Chairman) to subscribe today. Our Lions Club members appreciate your support.
