SANDPOINT — A Bonner County man is facing a felony assault charge for threatening a woman with a pistol on Sept. 22.
In addition to the aggravated assault charge, Jon Eric Hasenoehrl is further charged with domestic battery at the misdemeanor level.
The alleged victim told a sheriff’s deputy that Hasenoehrl entered her room shortly before 1 a.m. and began pelting her with eggs, laundry detergent, flour and other objects while she was in bed, according to a probable cause affidavit.
The woman said Hasenoehrl retrieved a .38-caliber pistol, fired a round outside and pointed the gun at her head. Hasenoehrl allegedly covered her face with a pillow and put the gun to her head, leading her to fear she was going to be killed, the affidavit said.
A preliminary hearing in the case is set for Oct. 10.
