I applaud Diane Wheeler for pointing out how the “Sandpoint Follies” exhibitionists using “fundraising for the children” as an excuse for making public derrières of themselves. As an advertising professional, I have had the privilege of working for wonderful clients who raise millions of dollars annually — providing enormous true benefit to children both nationally and internationally— all without resorting to any profanity, vulgarity or risqué costumes. There is irony aplenty when “fools” defend themselves by bragging that they bar the door to their “performances” — against the very youth they claim to be doing so much good for.

Do you ever get tired of “same old-same old” at the dinner table? Often, even sauces or a sprinkle of herbs or spices just doesn’t do the trick of tantalizing the taste-buds when dinner is served. That’s where “one little thing” comes to the rescue.

Water, water, everywhere, and it's such a treat to drink
With the media hype and endless options to us all, it is no wonder that we stand in the grocery store scratching our head in confusion. What should I spend my hard-earned money on? Can the promise on the label be true? What is the healthiest option when you are just plain thirsty? Water. Yep. Water. The amount of water you need will vary, depending partly on your activity level. If you aren’t very active, you should drink a minimum of eight cups of water per day. If you’re working out regularly, you will need more to replace fluids lost during exercise. The following conditions may indicate that you’re not getting enough water:

Being prepared equals better leadership
The misrepresentations of the Natural Resource Plan are reminiscent of the machinations during the period of 1880-1920. “The Progressive Era”, by Murray Rothbard, especially chapter eight regarding Theodore Roosevelt, is useful regarding the plan and how it relates to the Scotchman’s Peak issue. As stated by Leonard Bronson, then (1911) the manager of the National Lumber Manufacturers’ Association: “… from a selfish standpoint alone the heavy timber owners of the West are heartily in favor of the (forest) reserves: for the mere establishment of these reserves has increased the value of the holdings very heavily by withdrawing from the market timber which otherwise would be competitive…”. Reduce the supply, raise the prices and the profits for established owners and raise the barriers of entry to newer competitors.
