How are liquor, tobacco stores deemed essential?

Everyone has different priorities on what they find essential. As a running store and the virus goes, we are doing the best we can with abiding by the order that Governor Brad Little placed on the state.

For the businesses that get to stay open regardless of reason, great for them. There are some stores that are deemed essential. We’re doing what we can to make sure people have the equipment, like shoes, to get outsides etc. Everything is essential to someone at some point. We need to be patient during this time and support the local stores and communities.

However, how is it that liquor stores and tobacco are deemed essential? Is it me? Or am I missing something? I supply people who want to be out in the open, running, walking or moving, if you will. Isn’t that more essential than sitting at home, drinking or smoking etc? Asking for a friend!!
