A narcotics investigation was opened in the Bonner County area at 8:22 a.m.

A controlled substance incident was reported in the USFS Road 222 area in Clark Fork at 9:17 a.m.

A case was assigned to cover information in the 489000 block of U.S. 95 at 12:10 p.m.

An alarm was reported on Snowghost Road at 1:04 p.m.

Kai R. Leach, 26, of Cocolalla, was arrested on in the area of Poplar and Jefferson at 1:14 p.m. on a felony Bonner County warrant.

Report of a reckless driver in the 15000 block of Highway 2 in Priest River at 1:20 p.m.

Report of an injury accident in the 4000 block of Eastside Road in Priest River at 2:34 p.m.

Report of a reckless driver in the 12000 block of U.S. 2 near Priest River at 3:22 p.m.

A trespass was reported on Timblin-Green Road at 4:24 p.m.

A reckless driver was reported in the 452000 block of U.S. 95 in Athol at 5:16 p.m.

A reckless driver was reported in the area of U.S. 95 and Blacktail Road in Careywood at 5:56 p.m.

Jacob Utter, 30, of Newport, was arrested in the 2000 block of Cavanaugh Bay Road in Coolin at 6:26 p.m. on charges of burglary, eluding police, possession controlled substance, felon in possession of firearm, possession of paraphernalia, and open container.

A case was assigned to cover a report of information in the U.S. 2 area in Oldtown at 7:21 p.m.

Jarred Meaux, 29, of Sandpoint, was arrested in the 700 block of French Road at 8:04 p.m. on a charge of battery.

Report of a burglary in the W. Horton Creek Road area in Coolin at 6:26 p.m.

Lance K. Timblin, 31, of Sandpoint, was arrested in the 200 block of Bonner Mall Way at 8:54 p.m. on a Kootenai County warrant.

Fireworks were reported in the 2800 block of Sunnyside Road at 11:26 p.m.

July 8

Report of a family offense in the 300 block of W. Sixth Avenue in Clark Fork at 4:31 a.m.

SANDPOINT POLICE

July 7

Report of checks taken from a vehicle in the 300 block of Humbird Street in Kootenai at 7:18 a.m.

A recovered stolen property report was placed under investigation on Larch Street at 8:27 a.m.

An officer was unable to locate a reported reckless driver in the area of U.S. 200 and Sprague Street in Kootenai at 8:54 a.m.

A vehicle was reported keyed in the pre-100 block of Bridge Street at 10:59 a.m.

Information was relayed to law enforcement on W. Lake Street at 1:53 p.m.

Sandpoint officers assisted Health and Welfare on a call on Hickory Street at 4:47 p.m.

Report of items taken from a boat in the 100 block of E. Lake Street at 4:43 p.m.

Report of a possible hit-and-run accident in the area of Larch and Boyer at 6:46 p.m.

After a DUI investigation in the area of Forsythia and Honeysuckle at 8:02 p.m., the driver was released without charges.

Report of shoplifting in the 600 block of Larch Street at 8:21 p.m.

Report of fireworks in the 400 block of E. Mountain View Drive at 9:50 p.m.

A female was transported to BGH for treatment at 11:57 p.m.

July 8

Matthew R. Hobbs, 19, of Sandpoint, was cited in the area of U.S. 200 and Seven Sisters Drive at 12:59 a.m. on a DUI charge (under 21); and Nathan P. Demko, 18, of Sandpoint, was cited at the same time and location charges of possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

Report of a disorderly male in the 500 block of N. Third Avenue at 4:03 a.m.

An officer conducted a civil standby in the 800 block of Kootenai Cutoff at 9:59 a.m.

Report of a non-injury accident on Bonner Mall Way at 11:32 a.m.

Suspicious circumstances were reported on U.S. 95 at 3:03 p.m.
