NOXON, Mont. — The Wampus Cats suffered their second defeat to Noxon this season, losing 39-36 Friday night.

Clark Fork trailed 31-22 entering the fourth quarter and nearly battled back to grab their third win.

“We had a chance to tie the score at the end of the game and fell short,” head coach Heath Beason wrote in an email. “I needed to have the bench more prepared for these occasions and I didn’t. The players get all the credit they played their hearts out tonight.”

Carter Sanroman led the team with 12 points.

The Wampus Cats (2-9) host the Post Falls C team 7 p.m. Monday.
