Last call for ballots

| June 2, 2020 1:00 AM

Voters have until 8 tonight to bring their ballots to the Elections Office, according to Bonner County Elections officials.

This year’s all-absentee primary election gave voters until May 19 to request their ballots online or in person, but a lawsuit alleging the website used by voters to request ballots became overwhelmed pushed the deadline to May 26.

Voters who still have their ballots in hand but have not mailed them in have until 8 p.m. to bring their ballots in person to the Elections Office at 1500 Highway 2, Suite 124. Ballots postmarked June 2 but not in hand by 8 tonight will not be counted.

Election officials will begin counting votes at 8 p.m. Results will likely not be completed by the Daily Bee deadline tonight, but the newspaper will post results on www.bonnercountydailybee.com when ready.
