Newport chamber, TCEDD offer small business training

The Greater Newport Area Chamber and the Tri-County Economic Development District, along with TEDD World Headquarters is providing via Google Livestream, a series of presentations geared toward small businesses and non-profits.

Google will be providing swag for all attendees. These presentations will be held in the Newport Visitors Center. Seating is limited to the first 10 chamber members to register. Please note these TEDD events are for chamber members only, however the SCC class further below is open to all.

• “Spring Into Action” — March 11, 9-10 a.m.

Start the year off on the right foot by learning how to use Google Analytics to gain insights into how consumers engage with businesses online. Learn best practices analyzing customer trends and turning these insights into actionable decisions.

Suggested audiences include small businesses and non-profits.

• National Small Business Week livestream — May 6, 9-10 a.m.

Celebrate National Small Business Week by helping businesses in your local communities learn about SEO best practices, how to set up a free YouTube business channel, and getting found online with Google My Business.

• “Digital Skills Summer School” — July 22, 9-10 a.m.

Join the Greater Newport Area Chamber for its annual Digital Skills Summer School to learn about how digital tools can help you get organized, increase your productivity, and manage time more efficiently.

Suggested audiences include job seekers, students, teachers and small businesses.

• Annual holiday livestream — Oct. 14, 9-10 a.m.

Kick start your customers’ holiday shopping season by marketing your business. We’ll discuss how to get in front of your customers and showcase what you offer using Google My Business, Google Ads, and more.
