Shake off that cabin fever and join all the fun

From otters to songbirds to music and oh so much more, this week is packed with more entertainment than you can imagine. So toss those winter blues aside, ditch the cabin fever and dive straight into the fun. Just be sure to grab your phone, open your calendar and mark your favorites. THURSDAY, MARCH 12

FOL Koffee Klatch

Venue: East Bonner County Library, 1407 Cedar St., Sandpoint

Time: 1-2 p.m.

A gathering of area book club members to honor Women’s History month by discussing and sharing female authors and/or female protagonists while enjoying coffee and pie.

‘Pie Day’ Fundraiser

Venue: Sandpoint Area Seniors, 820 Main St.

Time: 11:30-12:30 p.m.

Come join the fun and toss a whipped cream pie into the face of community officials and other good sports — all to benefit local food programs and other Sandpoint Area Seniors, Inc. expense.

Mugger Appreciation Party

It’s MickDuff’s Brewing Co.’s second Mugger Appreciation Party with the release of their anniversary and live music to boot. It’s a triple threat for this special Thursday featuring Brian Jacobs.

‘Clemency’

Venue: Panida Theater, 300 N. First Ave., Sandpoint

Years of carrying out death row executions have taken a toll on prison warden Bernadine Williams (Alfre Woodard). As she prepares to execute another inmate, Bernadine must confront the psychological and emotional demons her job creates, ultimately connecting her to the man she is sanctioned to kill.

Ken Mayginnes

Live music in the cafe Friday afternoons with local Ken Mayginnes as he plays folk, rock and country with acoustic guitar. Great music and an incredible view.

‘Otters: An Educational Presentation’

Venue: Little Panida Theater, 302 N. First Ave., Sandpoint

Time: two showing, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Jackson Roltgen

Venue: Matchwood Brewing Company, 513 Oak St., Sandpoint

This rising musician will debut one of his first solo performances at Matchwood Brewing, From Coeur d’Alene, Roltgen plays blues, folk, soul and Americana style music.

The Liabilities

Led by the Packwood brothers, The Liabilities are one of the region’s top old-school R&B, funk and classic rock bands.

With an off-the-cuff selection of acoustic originals, obscure familiar favorites, and improvised loop jams, Firshi’s style of music is influenced by blues, jazz, rock, country, folk, Latin, reggae, world and jam.

IWL Annual Writers’ Contest — The Roaring ‘20s

Venue: East Bonner County Library, 1407 Cedar St.

Time: 9:30-12 p.m.

Calling all authors! You are welcome to come and share your work with a 5-minute reading of your original material. Mingle with other writers and listen to their work. No registration necessary for this free event. All ages, genres and experience levels are welcome. Presented by the Library and the Sandpoint Chapter of the Idaho Writers League.

St. Paddy’s Cornhole Jam

Time: 12-6 p.m.

It’s a switcholio format with split-bracket playoffs. What that means: switcholio is a fun game where you play with random partners for each game of the round robin play. There will be 5-6 rounds total for the tourney.

Nick Sterling & The Nomads

Time: Doors open at 6 p.m. for dinner and the concert starts at 7:30 p.m.
