Guns are needed at the Festival at Sandpoint? Really?
Guns at the Festival, really.
Don’t get me wrong, as I am strong believer in the Second Amendment; why heck our kids used to carry rifles to school in the back of their old pickup trucks, and go hunting right after school. That was the norm for North Idaho and everything was cool. Now it seems we’ve imported a bunch of paranoids that need a gun everywhere.
A gun to the Festival for protection — really — I don’t ever remember a shootout on the streets of Sandpoint, over the last 70 years or so, unless it was when the police shot down a women armed with a knife. You don’t need to take your guns to town, boys. This isn’t the back alleys of Chicago, or the slums of L.A.
Sober up and leave your guns at home, you don’t need ’em. Why even Matt Dillon would take guns away and say, “You don’t get ’em back until you leave town.” This isn’t the wild wild West anymore. Self protection, oh my. Really …
