COCOLALLA — A Michigan man was injured Friday when he drove left of center of Highway 95, striking a southbound Freightliner.

Idaho State Police said Jason R, Lenhart, 22, of Burt, Michigan, was northbound about 10:26 a.m. in a 2004 Hyundai Elantra in the 460500 block of Highway 95 in Cocolalla when he drove left of the center line, striking the Freightliner driven by Todd W. Shaffer, 52, of Rathdrum. A grey 2017 GMC Yukon driven by Sarah C. Wagner, 23, of Couer d’Alene, was also southbound and was struck by debris.

Lenhart was transported by Lifeflight to Kootenai Health. There was no report on his condition. ISP officials said the other drivers were uninjured.

Troopers said Shaffer and Wagner were both wearing their seatbelts, but said it is unknown if Lenhart was wearing his seatbelt.

The southbound lane was blocked for approximately an hour and a half.

An investigation is ongoing.
