Smokey to welcome students today

OLDTOWN — Idaho Hill Elementary will be welcoming a very special guest today during packet distribution, which takes place 8 a.m.-noon.

At 10 a.m., Smokey Bear will be on hand to wave to the students.

School officials said the packets are packed full of learning materials and project supplies for the students, including Mobius Science kits, free books, Smokey Bear packets, reading challenge rewards, gift certificates from McDonald’s and much more.
