Article showed a complete lack of respect for VA police officers

| May 21, 2020 1:00 AM

On April 22, 2020 1:00, an article was written by Ralph Bartholdt, titled VA officer jailed on battery, assault charges.

I felt that this showed a complete lack of respect for myself as well as all of my fellow officer in the department of Veterans Affairs Police Department throughout the nation.

I came across your article, when a collogue of mine sent it to me, as an informational note. While reading your article you showed complete lack of respect for myself and the other 3500 police officers of the Department of Veterans Affairs, when we were referred to in the article as veterans affairs protective services officer, called VA Police. well sir, we are police officers. We are sworn police officers of the VA. We are not protective service, as you would to point out. You sir, show myself and my fellow officers a complete lack of respect.

I feel you owe us an apology. We are sworn police officers, and this just shows your disregard for law enforcement in general and your lack of investigative skills.
