Corps sets target for winter pool

OLDTOWN — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is targeting a 2,051-foot elevation for Lake Pend Oreille by Nov. 15.

The outlow of the Pend Oreille River was scheduled to reach 22,000 cubic feet per second by this morning.

The lake's winter pool elevation is slated to reach 2,051 feet to 2,051.5 feet on Nov. 15.

Representatives from the corps of Engineers will provide further details on Albeni Falls Dam operations at a joint corps and Lakes Commission public meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 10 a.m.
