Celebrating you and all your achievements

Today, you’re celebrating you. Yes, I’m talking about you.

Ladies (and gentlemen): It’s time to pat yourself on the back and celebrate you all of your accomplishments. Yeah, you’ve done some pretty amazing stuff in your life and you’ve lived through what you thought might kill you.

So, raise your cup, your glass, your thermos, your eyeliner pencil, shaving mug (or whatever you choose) and give yourself some credit. Don’t allow yourself to get wrapped up in your silly “to-do” list of all the stuff you haven’t accomplished. But, instead, look at all the stuff you have accomplished. I think you are pretty freakin’ incredible.

It doesn’t matter if you have dirty dishes in the sink. It doesn’t matter if you have a ring in your bathtub. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t washed your hair for four days. #Braid or #Beanie. It doesn’t matter if you forgot about the laundry in your washer. #Me It doesn’t matter if you have a honey-do list a mile long.

And, while said, it doesn’t matter if you ran over a squirrel on accident this morning on your way to work — because the silly squirrel couldn’t make up his mind. It doesn’t matter if you totally flubbed up answering the phone in your office today. It doesn’t matter if you fell off the exercise ball. Nobody cares. You didn’t sneeze while getting that crazy intricate tattoo. You remembered to brush your teeth this morning. You didn’t bite your tongue during lunch.

You held the door open for the person behind you and waved hello to a neighbor driving down the road. That is a pretty impressive list and the week is still young. So, give yourself that pat on the back and, if you didn’t exercise today, get back up on that exercise ball tomorrow and rock on.
