Steve Johnson will fix county's DMV office

| October 29, 2020 11:06 AM

Steve Johnson has a plan to fix the DMV wait times. Have you been to the DMV lately? Three hour wait times and 30 people waiting in line all day long. The Driver’s License department is not much better. And yet, our county commissioners can find $200,000 in the budget to pay lawyer fees for lawsuits. Instead, why not use that money to hire additional DMV clerks? Steve Johnson will choose 15-minute wait times over lawsuits.

Our county commissioners are disrespecting the people they serve. Time is valuable and our time should be respected. Instead of fixing the DMV wait time problem, the current commissioners are now in their third lawsuit in the last 2 years. On top of this, they have refused to accept COVID-19 Cares Act money from the state. Money that could have been used to reduce our property taxes.

We need fiscal responsibility with our hard earned money. Property taxes need to be spent for services, not lawsuits. If you want Common Sense Leadership to return to our county, vote for Steve Johnson.
