COOLN — The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality is seeking public comment on a draft water reuse permit renewal for Coolin Sewer District near CooliN.

The draft reuse permit allows the facility to apply recycled water to approximately 52 acres of forest during the growing season for another 10 years.

All guidelines of the present reuse permit remain in effect for this renewal. The facility is required to maintain all monitoring, reporting, and analysis outlined in the existing reuse permit and continue to address health and environmental concerns in order to protect public health.

Written comments on the draft permit will be accepted through October 5, 2020, at 5 p.m. PDT.

The draft permit and staff analysis are available for public review at DEQ’s Coeur d'Alene Regional Office (2110 Ironwood Parkway) and on DEQ’s website (download at right).

Submit comments electronically on DEQ’s website or by mail or email to: Emma Wooldridge, DEQ Coeur d'Alene Regional Office, 2110 Ironwood Parkway, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814; or via email, Emma.Wooldridge@deq.idaho.gov
