Mountainside Volleyball Club tryouts set for Saturday

SANDPOINT — Tryouts for the Mountain Side Volleyball Club are this Saturday at Sandpoint Middle School.

Tryouts for U12/U14 are set for 6 p.m. and U16/U18 are at 8 p.m.

The volleyball club has four packages to choose from this year or players can do all four for the ultimate package. Players interested in signing up for any packages must attend Saturday's tryouts.

Package A consists of fall and winter clinics two days a week. One hour sessions will be held Oct. 1 through Nov. 15 for kids aged 8-13 and the cost is $120. One and a half sessions will be held Nov. 15 through Dec. 31 for kids between 14 and 18 years old and the cost is $160.

Package B consists of team teachings. Players will be taught team defense and offense and two hour sessions will be held two days a week between January and March. Cost is $250.

Package C comes with team teachings with a coach, travel and tournaments. The full details of this package are still unknown due to COVID-19. Currently, there are no tournaments to sign up for. Approximate cost is $1,100-$1,200.

Package D is all about summer beach volleyball clinics. Peter Klein will lead these clinics that will be held two days a week from mid June to July. Sessions will be one and a half hours and cost is $160.
