PATRIOTIC PICTURES GIVEN FREE
Lexington, Gettysburg, the Argonne – the three most significant battles in American history. Every American boy thrills at the very names. His patriotism will be stirred to the depths when he sees the beautiful paintings depicting these battles, by Edward Penfield, the famous artist. Jennestad Larson & Co. have made it possible for every local boy to have a set of the pictures, reproduced in the original colors, free from all advertising, mounted on heavy cardboard and fit for framing. The merchants will give a set free to each boy who comes to the store asking for them.

NO NEW SCHOOL AT CLARKSFORK
A bond issue voted last fall for building a new Clarksfork school building, was knocked out on the grounds that the advertising was illegal. Twice since, a vote was taken on the issue and the bonds were defeated, lacking the necessary two-thirds majority. County Supt. Miss LeHuquet recently condemned the present school building, but repairs were made in time for last week’s school openings and more repairs are promised to make the school pass sanitary inspection.
