Gladys Josephine Chapman, 94

Gladys Josephine Chapman, 94, of Mount Vernon, Washington, Sandpoint, Idaho, and Carbondale, Colorado, passed on to her beloved Jesus on September 17, 2020, at 1 a.m. in Mount Vernon.

Gladys was born to Jesse and Louise Weaver of Wattenberg, Colorado, on June 2, 1926.

She had three sisters who passed away before her: Eva Mae Wassam, Jessie Louise Eppinger and Margaret Dorothy McCarrick.

Gladys and Robert (Bob) Chapman were married on September 25, 1946. They had four children: Donna Lynn Prokaski, Bruce Michael (Diann) Chapman, Janice Elaine Hunt and Stanley Earl Chapman, who are all still living. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Daniel Chapman, Anna Woodroof, Tina Jander, Ariana Hunt, Nicole Hunt and Brent Prokaski; as well as eight great-grandchildren: Casey Chapman, Kyli Chapman, Bodie Woodroof, Violet Woodroof, Lucy Jander, Emi Jander, Brooke Prokaski and Owen Prokaski.

Gladys enjoyed bowling, flower gardening, bird watching, playing Rummikub with friends and most of all spending time with her family.

Gladys had a strong faith in the Lord Jesus and was a member of Northside Christian Fellowship and attended Bethany Covenant Church.
