Arrests connected to insurrection continuing

| April 6, 2021 1:00 AM

The torrent of arrests stemming from the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol continues unabated.

What to me is the most striking feature of that attack is the almost unbelievable stupidity shown by the participants, who somehow believe that one can commit violent offenses on video, and not think for a moment there would be consequences.

Ranking a very close second is the hypocrisy of a group who “backs the blue” and cherishes “law and order” by attacking police with weapons, threatening to hunt down and kill members of Congress, and vandalizing one of the most iconic buildings in America.

These criminals chose violence over intellect when they claim the election was “stolen,” as they have a universal disregard towards the election process and a nearly total ignorance of how votes are tabulated and processed. Those were both choices made despite the fact these “constitutionalists” could have read the 12th Amendment, which describes the election process, and the fact that the Trump-appointed head of cybersecurity, Chris Krebs, has said repeatedly the election was the most secure ever. Krebs, in fact, created the CISA site, and you can read about the election there. (CISA.gov.jointstatement).

The oft-cited "thousands of affidavits" is more baseless pap right off of the Fox opinion time slot, which of course gets much of its feed straight from DJT, who has presented over 30,000 lies to the American public, and these pathetic fools lapped it up like dogs.

Enjoy prison.
