It’s rodeo time

Final preparations are commencing for the Sandpoint Bonner County Rodeo.

Decked out with new metal pens at the Bonner County Fairgrounds, horses that will be participating in the rodeo got a chance to explore their surroundings on Wednesday evening.

The PRCA Rodeo will take place at the Bonner County Fairgrounds on August 6 and 7.

Gates open at 6:30 p.m., first chute at 7:30 p.m. This year’s rodeo will include stock from C5 Ranch, a nationally recognized organization that contracts stock for the PRCA.

Tickets can be purchased online or in person at many locations in Sandpoint. For children: $8 in advance or $10 at the door. For adults: $15 in advance or $18 at the door. For a full list of ticket locations, go to get more information go to sandpointbonnercountyrodeo.com

Some of the horses in this weekends PRCA Rodeo are from nationally recognized C5 Ranch. C5 Ranch contracts for the PRCA providing bucking stock for the events. The PRCA adheres to 60 rules about the care, maintenance, and transportation of the livestock ensuring for a safe and fun event for all living creatures.
