If you're sick, let us bring the books to you

In times past, it used to be a funny story to share with friends and coworkers about people who come into the library when they’re too sick to go to work, and proudly declare to desk staff that they have the day off and

decided to come to the library to “get some movies to watch.”

Well, that kind of story is not quite so funny anymore. We very much want to stay open, but we can only do that with community understanding and support of current safety requirements and service adjustments.

Many people have told us how grateful they are for our mask requirement, because it makes them feel like they can safely come into the Library and browse for materials or use the computers. But we can only continue to provide this environment if everybody does their part.

So please, if you are feeling poorly, waiting for the results of a COVID-19 test, or have any cold or flu symptoms, let us bring your materials to you via curbside pickup. Simply call the Library at 208-263-6930, ext. 1215, or fill out the short online form to make an appointment at holds.youcanbook.me.

Thank you so much to all our wonderful community members and patrons who are doing their part to help the Library stay open for everyone. With your support, we will get through this challenging time together.
