Panida seeking Play It Again donations

| July 21, 2021 1:00 AM

SANDPOINT — It’s that time again when you might need to clear out some of the old to make room for the new. Others want to keep finding more treasures to enjoy. You never know what you might go home with — at very attractive prices.

Enter the Panida's "Play It Again" sale.

Between now and the July 30, the Panida is accepting donations of any used CDs, records, videos and DVDs, cassettes, audiobooks, stereo equipment and any other media. Last year, all leftover inventory went away so the Panida is starting from scratch. So scour your shelves, garages, basements, attics, shrines and hidey-holes for donations, Panida officials said.

Each year on Crazy Days — this year it’s July 31, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. – the Panida holds its fundraising "swap and shop" at the theater to sell new-to-you items at enticing prices to others who want to collect, listen to, or watch these vintage items. All funds raised go to the Laurel Wagers/Panida Theater Music Scholarship for a deserving Sandpoint area student going on to college in the performing arts.

To help the Panida keep this event thriving, please set aside any music items, films, equipment or audiobooks. You can drop them off at the theater by prior arrangement, contact Steve Garvan at 303-809-1676 to make an appointment to do so. The Panida is glad to acknowledge your donations in writing, as needed.
