SANDPOINT — The free, feet stomping, family friendly Sandpoint Summer Music Series kicks off Thursday, July 22, in Farmin Park at 6 p.m.

The series starts off with Seattle-based group Heels to the Hardwood, a soulful Americana rock group with high energy songs that make you dance along.

The music series will continue Thursday, August 12, with Super Sparkle and Thursday, August 26th with Stillhouse Junction. Super Sparkle is described as a pop, soul, funk group with Motown flair.

Their raw energy and backup dancers is sure to have concertgoers on their feet. Stillhouse Junction who is making jumps in the Bluegrass world will bring the summer music series to a close. Per organizers requests, please no pets or outdoor alcohol at the concerts. The concert series was canceled last summer, but Robb Talbot of Mattox Farm Productions has resurrected the concert series for the 2021 summer season.

Robb and Natasha Talbott started Mattox Farm Productions to bring quality music to family friendly spaces, at a reasonable price. The events of Sandpoint Summer Music Series have been built with families in mind by having the events early in the day and to provide a safe and fun environment for all attendees. Talbott said that one of the most important things about these events was that he and his wife could feel comfortable “dancing with their kids amongst other families.”

The series is free thanks to sponsors, Talbott said. There will be booths and vendors the first Thursday of the series with more vendors and booths to come as the music series continues.
