FOL announces August book sale

| July 30, 2021 1:00 AM

It’s soon to be August and the Friends of the Library are on hand to help the community get through the proverbial dog days of the month.

The Friends of the Library has the perfect solution to the month's long days: books, books and more books and invite the community to take refuge from the hot sun and smoky skies with a new book in your hands.

To that end, the Friends of The Library are hosting its hosting its monthly book sale on Saturday, Aug. 7 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

"Our shelves are overflowing so we are filling our tables with paperback westerns, fiction and mysteries," members said in a press release. "We also have a small group of collectible classics. There are no special prices this month but at our regular prices of $0.50 for paperbacks and $1 for hard covers our books remain a real bargain."

The group said the sale's shoppers make it possible to continue their dual mission of supporting the library and putting books in the hands of the community at prices "that make it easy for anyone to realize the incredible pleasure of reading."
