Visit Sandpoint offers contest for front-line workers

| July 30, 2021 1:00 AM

SANDPOINT — The pandemic brought extraordinary challenges to the community's front-line workers – the nurses, teachers, grocery store employees, restaurant staff, postal clerks, and many other folks who kept the wheels in motion during these unprecedented times.

Now the team at Visit Sandpoint wants to honor those folks with a chance to win an autumn escape to Sandpoint – complete with lodging, dining, and more.

Anyone can enter the contest, just as long as they bring along a front-line worker as their companion for a well-deserved break from the stresses of the past year, Visit Sandpoint officials said in a press release. That front-line worker could be your spouse or a pal, or you if you’re a front-line worker who could use a break. Or, if the drawing winner puts in and wins on behalf of a front-liner, they can gift the whole getaway to their front-line worker and his or her choice of companion, officials said.

The getaway package includes two nights’ lodging in downtown Sandpoint, a cruise on Lake Pend Oreille, thrills at Silverwood Theme Park, horseback rides at Western Pleasure Guest Ranch, certificates for fine food and drink, and so much more.

The contest is open until Aug. 25, and may be redeemed anytime between Labor Day and Thanksgiving. To enter, fill out the online form at www.VisitSandpoint.com/getaway.
