SANDPOINT — A note found in a Sandpoint High School girls bathroom that threatened a shooting prompted a lockdown of the high school and the nearby Sandpoint Middle School on Friday morning.

However, after a sweep of all buildings at both schools, SPD posted that the safety hold locking down the buildings had been lifted and no threat detected.

Following discovery of the note and subsequent lockdown and lifting of the shutdown, school resource officers were stationed at the front entrances to both schools for the rest of the school day "as an added precaution, SPD said in the post.
