Dale Reuben Payton, 75

Dale Reuben Payton, 75, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at his home in Laclede, Idaho, following a battle with cancer.

Graveside funeral services were conducted on Saturday, June 5, 2021, in Pinecrest Memorial Park.

Dale was born to Richard and Alice Payton on January 10, 1946, in Seattle, Washington.

He married Janice Melvin in April 1964, at Stites, Idaho. They raised four of the rottenest bunch of kids. He was a pastor for years with the Church of God and pastored many churches in Idaho, Alaska and Illinois. Jan passed in 2003. He then married Muriel Marshall in March 2004, in Laclede and she passed in 2018. He then married Marie LaFoy in Greenville, South Carolina, in December 2020.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; four kids and their spouses, numerous stepchildren, countless grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Dale was a loving father, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa. He will be remembered for his ability to find humor in all of life’s challenges, and he has passed that humor along to his children.
