The North Idaho Volleyball Club has taken over the summer league for Parks and Recreation, and registration is now open for junior and adult league sand volleyball.

The club is offering a seven-week sand volleyball season for U14, U16 and U18. Tryouts for the junior league will be held on Monday, June 14 from 5-7 p.m. at the City Beach sand volleyball courts. Cost for tryouts is $15.

Practices will be held every Monday and Tuesday from June 21 to August 3. First two weeks will consist of practices only and the final five weeks will be a mix of games and practices.

There is a max of 12 players per age group and each athlete must have a current Sports Engine membership.

There are two packages available — A and B. Package A includes the seven weeks of twice per week coaching and a swag bag full of goodies. Package B will include tournament play locally and some travel. You are not required to participate in both packages. Cost for package A is $250 and cost for package B is TBD.

All fees must be paid in full to NIVBC by June 21.

For adults, NIVBC is offering a 10 week coed sand league for groups of four made up of two men and two women.

League play will be every Wednesday evening at City Beach from June 16 to August 18.

There will be A and B levels with eight teams max per level. Season standings will be tracked and announced weekly and playoffs will be held the final week to determine league champions.

Cost per team is $200 plus an individual player Sports Engine membership that must be paid in full to NIVBC as soon as possible.

Registration for the junior and adult sand leagues is now open at northidahovolleyball.com.
