Weight restrictions linger on some roads

While weight restrictions came off one road in southern Bonner County, they were added to another, Bonner County Road & Bridge officials said.

In District 1 — south of the Long Bridge — Jewel Lake saw weight restrictions removed while Schneiders Road saw them added. In addition, "no hauling" restrictions are in effect on Eichs Road.

In District 2 — Priest River and Priest Lake areas — Kalispell Creek Road and Reeder Creek Road are posted with weight limits. They are the only roads posted in the district.

In District 3 — Sandpoint and Clark Fork areas — Upper Gold Creek (from Meadowood Road to Rapid Lightning Road) is the only road posted with weight limits.

Per BCRC Ordinance #422, it shall be the responsibility of the hauler to contact the Road & Bridge Department to determine whether or not these restrictions are in place. These restrictions will remain in effect until changed, at which time updates will be posted.
