Birding outing set for Saturday

A Mother’s Day birding outing is being sponsored by the Libby Hostel Base Camp.
The outing will take place Saturday, May 8, at 9 a.m. Mountain Standard Time in Libby, Mont. Area residents are invited to come along on a medium-paced road tour to spot and identify some of the resident, migrating, and irruptive moving winged creatures of the area.
Participants will be driving a large loop, and stopping in their own vehicles at convenient places to view birds and other wildlife. Participants must register before attending, and are asked to come prepared with a well-running vehicle filled with gas, water, lunch, binoculars and spotting scopes, a birding field guide book if you have one, and an upbeat attitude.
The outing will wrap up at about 2:30 p.m. MST.
