Sweet Lou’s Restaurant and Tap House coming to Athol

| May 21, 2021 1:00 AM

Chad and Meggie Foust, owners of Sweet Lou’s Restaurants, are pleased to announce they will be serving their favorite dishes to customers in Athol at The Crossings beginning in the spring 2022.

“We are excited to break ground this summer,” Chad Foust said. “We’ve been looking for an area to expand for a while and we think The Crossings, just off Highway 95 is a perfect fit.”

Sweet Lou’s Restaurants began in 2011 in Hope. Over the years the Fousts have opened two more locations, one in Ponderay and one in downtown Coeur d’Alene. Although the design of each location varies, the concept behind the business remains the same.

“We serve American fare family recipes made from fresh, high quality ingredients,” said Chad. “We are known for having something for everyone and for always having the game on — whatever sports season it may be.”

Each Sweet Lou’s location is designed around a comfortable guest experience for the entire family.

“We want everyone that walks in the door to feel welcome,” Meggie Foust said. “With this location being close to Silverwood and Farragut, we are hoping to attract guests of all ages.”

This will be the first Sweet Lou’s restaurant built from the ground up. Baker Construction is taking the lead on the build with Miller Stauffer Architects behind the design and concept.

“We will continue our trend of a casual dining atmosphere,” said Meggie. “This location will have elements that celebrate the area – specifically Farragut and its naval history.”

Currently, the plans have seating for 130 guests inside and 45 guests on the patio.

“We are looking forward to expanding our offering to our friends in Athol,” Chad said. “We hope to see everyone out there in less than a year!”

Sweet Lou’s Restaurant and Tap House will be located at 6915 E Athol Crossings Road. For more information visit www.sweetlousidaho.com or visit their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/sweetlous.
