Free Christmas trees at Priest Lake Memory Gardens

| November 24, 2021 1:00 AM

Local residents can select a free pre-cut Christmas tree or boughs for a Christmas wreath at the Priest Lake Memory Gardens through Thanksgiving weekend. It’s a gift to the community to celebrate the holiday season.

“We were culling out some of the smaller trees at the Memory Gardens,” according to board member Bob Stutz. “We realized the community could benefit from these smaller trees as Christmas trees in their homes.”

Priest Lake Memory Gardens has experienced tremendous growth during the past year. Over 185 Priest Lake friends and relatives are memorized at the gardens, offering residents a place of peace and solitude to remember those who loved Priest Lake.

A new welcome shelter is nearly complete. It will include a rest room, gathering space and a propane fire pit in front of the structure, board members said.

“We ask those who want a tree or boughs to select them from the pre-cut trees and branches in the parking lot,” board member Brian Miller said. “We hope you will take the time to walk through the Priest Lake Memory Gardens.”

Priest Lake Memory Gardens is located just off Highway 57 near the Priest Lake Golf Course. Watch for the sign and turn on Fairway Drive.
