More money doesn't make education better

| October 14, 2021 1:00 AM

More money doesn't make education better, it just makes it different. My kids go to the high school here. There is some amount of money in the rear-view mirror that a school needs to operate correctly, then a tipping point, and now a school swimming in COVID-funds and levy money.

Please don't think my kids need more money in their school. They don't need unsupervised pornography access, Facebook, and games (Chromebooks) that is replacing the teacher and the textbook. Human connection is being edged out and the gaps are filled with $100s. Are they going to start feeding our kids $100 bills at lunchtime instead of salads? They have so much money they don't know what to do with it.

I have seen our school board continually concerned with budget and its increase. There is no end amount of money these guys wouldn't bury our children in. I personally haven't seen them discuss quality of learning. It's time for a change on the school board.
