Donald Frank Farrar Jr., 64

| October 15, 2021 1:00 AM

Donald Frank Farrar Jr., left this world and his loved ones behind on October 8, 2021, at the age of 64. Don was born on September 1, 1957 in Denver Colorado, grew up in Sandpoint, Idaho, and graduated with the class of 1976.

What do you say about a person who always seemed larger than life itself?

Don was a constant source of entertainment to our family and friends, from the jokes he played on us to his witty sense of humor. He was always up to mischief. If it was to be found, more than likely he was in on it and usually involved his younger siblings and children to tag along, mostly so he could have a good laugh over it! Don loved to have fun and loved to laugh.

Don had another side to him as well. He had such a big heart. He loved his family and friends. If you weren’t connected to him by blood, you were by spirit. He always tried to lighten the mood and to see the best in everyone. If you were a part of his life, he always held a place in his heart for you.

Don was a hard worker, doing many different things over the years. He always took pride in his work, and was a perfectionist at everything he did.

Don always loved his home in North Idaho. He loved hiking the mountains, hunting, fishing and camping with his sons and family. It was always his happy place. He also had a passion for working out at the gym. He made many friends over the years while doing this. It was always important to him to stay in shape. Don always loved sports. It seemed that whatever sport he did he was good at. Growing up, he played baseball, and played on the American Legion team in Sandpoint.

Christmas was always one of his favorite holidays. We’re pretty sure he had some Santa in him! He always had a special twinkle in his eyes during that time. We know at Christmas his family will see a brighter star in the sky. That will be his twinkle that he is sending to us.

To you our love…..

Days End

Aspens by a quiet shore reflect a golden sheen and Tamaracks across the lake

Blend yellows with the green

The peaks against the evening sky gleam white on indigo…

Days end is flavored with the charm of Idaho.
