Michelle Ann Pecukonis, 54

Michelle Ann Pecukonis, 54, died in a house fire in Priest River, Idaho, on October 6, 2021. She graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1985 and was a prolific basketball point guard. She later played college basketball at St. Mary's of Notre Dame.

Michelle served as a drug and alcohol counselor in Minneapolis-St. Paul,  Minnesota, before moving to Priest River in 2001 where she and her partner Joy Tharp founded Skeyes the Limit Catering. 

She is preceded in death by her sister, Dawn Marie; and her mother, Maryann.

Michelle is survived by her father, Paul Pecukonis Sr. and his wife Bebe Elisabeth of Austin, Texas; and also her brothers, Paul Pecukonis Jr. of Seattle,  Washington and Michael Pecukonis of Austin.

The celebration of life will be held at North Summit Church,  201 N. Division Ave., Sandpoint, Idaho, on October 23 at 11 a.m. A luncheon to follow.
