Let's vote to keep Gary Suppiger on school board

| October 16, 2021 1:00 AM

I am excited to vote to keep Gary Suppiger on our school board.

I find it interesting that his opponent is running on a platform of “parental monitoring.” Gary has been monitoring the school district since his kids started school here putting in place programs that have resulted in major improvements for all students. It was this active involvement that led him to run for the school board now that his own kids, all three valedictorians, have moved on to being productive citizens. Gary works to ensure access to a quality education for all of Bonner County’s youth.

Gary’s opponent promises to dismantle the permanent levy without realizing that it pays for keeping his local school, Southside Elementary, open. Gary knows our schools, our teachers, and our students. His opponent has never been in any of our schools and his own kids are homeschooled.Gary understands that schools are a source of community pride where kids learn to work together.

If you want a true advocate for parental involvement, who will continue and improve the great education our children are receiving here, I hope you will join me in voting for Gary Suppiger for school board. It is the only race on the ballot, but it is an important one.

Any voter that lives South of the Long Bridge and votes at the Sagle Fire Station, the Westmond Mormon Church, or the Cocolalla Bible Camp can vote for Gary Suppiger during early voting or on Election Day, Novemaber 2.
