Why doesn't county try to increase vaccinations instead?

| October 16, 2021 1:00 AM

An article in a recent edition of the Daily Bee stated that the Bonner County commissioner's workshop to create a regulation against mask mandates was put off until the end of October.

Why are the commissioners wasting time on trying to create such a frivolous regulation when Idaho continues to set record highs of hospitalizations of unvaccinated COVID patients? Instead, the board of commissioners should be figuring out ways to combat COVID cases taking up beds in the hospitals and depriving the rest of the population in Bonner County access to hospitals for cancer, surgeries and heart problems.

Maybe the board should find ways to encourage people to get vaccinated (Idaho is one of the lowest of the states for vaccinated people) and to combat the current surge of COVID cases.
