Jalon Peters will hold school district accountable

| October 17, 2021 1:00 AM

Across the nation we are seeing parents stand up to their school boards and demand accountability and transparency through parental monitoring. It is time for that kind of change here in the Lake Pend Oreille School District.

There is one candidate that is running on that platform, Jalon Peters. Jalon has worked in youth groups and also as a former pastor. He has overseen and managed countless missions both foreign and local. Jalon owns his own handyman business and his wife is also a business owner of an alternative healthcare system. He has coached at many different levels of athletics from high school down to pee-wee league.

As a LPOSD board member Jalon will do the following: Be fiscally responsible and accountable to the taxpayers of Bonner County; work toward terminating the permanent levy; will not allow critical race theory to come into LPOSD; will work toward parental monitoring of the classroom and extracurricular activities; will work toward listening to teachers regarding curriculums and testing standards, not just go with national mandates blindly; and will support investing resources needed into the trades and trade schools for students that won’t attend college.

Cast your vote for Jalon Peters on Nov. 2.
