SAGLE — The Priest River cross country team competed in a 2.6-mile costume race on Tuesday, Oct. 12 at Round Lake State Park.

Athletes decked in a wide range of wacky costumes — from Wonder Woman to Kermit the Frog — lined up at the start line for the fun, laid back event before districts.

In the boy's race, Dylan Lord took sixth, Ethan Korff placed 10th and Tanner Bowers grabbed 24th out of 28 runners. Annie Morrell secured ninth in the girl's race.

Four of the five schools in the Intermountain League participated.

Priest River will host the 3A District 1 cross country championships at 1 p.m. Thursday at PRLHS.
