Culvert replacement work to start today

CAREYWOOD — Razz Construction will begin work to replace four culverts in southern Bonner County beginning today, Sept. 6.

The work, which will take place between mileposts 459 to 46, is expected to take three weeks, during which two lanes will be kept open during the day, Idaho Transportation Department officials said. While no night work is planned at the moment, it is an option for the contractor.

If work does take place at night, the highway would be reduced to one lane. ITD officials noted that lanes will be closed even when crews aren’t on site working.
