Shorthanded Lady Cats take down Lakeside for second time

PLUMMER — Clark Fork volleyball dropped its first set of the season on Tuesday in a four-set victory over Lakeside.

The Lady Cats won 23-25, 25-19, 25-16, 27-25.

Head coach Michelle Valliere said the Knights improved a lot from their first matchup on Sept. 2 when the Lady Cats won in straight sets.

Clark Fork played without Eloise Shelton and Michelle said the entire team just seemed a little bit off.

"It was good to mix some girls around and do some different things," she said.

Paige Valliere tallied 31 assists, Taylor Payne served seven aces and Taylor Staley racked up 13 kills and 11 digs.

"She did a good job and went to the ground for a lot of balls," Michelle said about Staley's performance.

The Lady Cats (4-0) return home to face Genesis Prep at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
