Newport's Cody Casper secures PBR Tri-Cities Classic title
Newport's Cody Casper dominated the first-ever Professional Bull Riders Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour event in Kennewick, Wash., last weekend. Casper delivered a perfect 3-for-3 performance to capture the PBR Tri-Cities Classic.

KENNEWICK, Wash. — Newport's Cody Casper dominated the first-ever Professional Bull Riders Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour event in Kennewick, Wash., last weekend. Casper delivered a perfect 3-for-3 performance to capture the PBR Tri-Cities Classic title.
Casper’s victory catapulted him 36 positions in the world standings, elevating him from No. 94 to No. 58. He is seeking to qualify for the PBR World Finals for the second straight time.
Priest River's Thor Hoefer II took fourth with a 1-for-3 effort, headlined by an 84-point ride.
