SANDPOINT — Two men are receiving medical attention for stab wounds following an intoxicated argument last Wednesday.

Nine law enforcement units and two ambulances were dispatched to the Sandbar at Pine Street and Second Avenue on Sept. 15 shortly after 2 a.m.

According to Sandpoint Police Chief, a 50-year-old man received injuries to his abdominal area. A 38-year-old man obtained wounds on his neck. Both were identified as local residents. The incident is considered an isolated event by law enforcement, there is no threat to the public.

At this time, there is an open investigation into the stabbing, though no court case has been filed.
